Re: What is happening with Brussels Airlines?
As can be read in other thread(s), the wheels at SN are very much in motion to have the least disruption possible for the pax. However, this is not simple, due to BRU being their home base, and the sheer amount of planes and transfer pax. Indeed, contrary to others, we have to take into account not...

Re: Terrorist attack, explosions in the departure hall of Brussels Airport!
Operations will be restarted tomorrow and will basically be cut in 2: - long haul will be operating from/to a single one of the Lufthansa group hubs indeed; Planes are currently on the ground in AFI to pick up pax, so by the time they arrive back in Europe it'll be decided where they will all go to ...

Re: BRU infrastructure: future
It's a pitty that SN is going for the 4 last gates. I think commercially it would be better if the gates were closer to the beginning of pier B. Now it's a long walk to the gate and back after arrival. By going for the end of the B Pier, it allows the creation of a dedicated zone only used by SN. O...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
It's now official: a 10th A330 will be added to our fleet before the end of this year.
More info on additional intercontinental routes and frequencies in due time.
But first there will be some other good news later this week.

Brussels Airlines introduces one-way fares at 39 euro
Since the introduction of four new travel formulas in the market, passenger numbers have grown by almost 30% to a record number of over 7.5 million in 2015. Now Brussels Airlines takes it one step further and gives all clients total freedom of choice by offering competitive one-way fares too! Thanks...

I think all A330 had their C-check and are now ready for the summer season No, SFY is the next one to have its C-check It is SFU that has left for LIS to have it's C-check ;) SFY is the first A330 to undergo an interesting cabin modif...

Re: Cancelled services and discontinued routes in 2016
Did SN quietly drop Douala? Or problem at the airport? Currently service seems limited to Yaounde. DLA airport is working on its RWY. For the last 2 weeks the RWY was already shortened to just 2200m (leading to significant payload restrictions) and since the first of March the second phase started,...

Re: January 2016 statistics for SN
SN is still progressing at a high rate (especially in Africa) and gaining market share in Brussels Airport. And that is the important fact to retain! And exactly the reason why some just don't want to understand the explanations above, or even doubt the official figures published. Let me give them ...

Re: BRU Summer 2016: news, new routes, airlines
Apart from adding another new destination to its summer time table, SN also increased the number of weekly flights to several of its popular routes to reflect the increased demand for seats: OPO will be served twice daily throughout the week for instance, while several other popular routes will get ...

Yes, of course... ;) OO-SNE should be MSN4203 OO-SSL should be MSN1803 Let's make a further small contribution for the pleasure of the spotter's community... The 6 addition...

Re: Brussels Airlines may claim the crown in Belgian skies also in 2015.
No idea if the B.air figure is rounded up by a lot, but I suppose official figures will follow later? Total passenger count on scheduled flights alone is 7,500,909. Honestly .... Children. It's PR, bluff is always called Our figures are rounded off downwards and exclude non-scheduled passengers. ;)...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Indeed.
Formal confirmation: 4 x A319 to replace 4 x RJ100 with, plus 2 x A320 for expansion.
And 2 x A330 too of course, also for further long haul expansion.
2016 will be another year with massive growth.

You are still missing quite a few.... ;) Its not because 4RJs go out, that the number of replacement A32F is limited to the same number. :p Didn't SN say a few weeks ago that, because of the higher capacity of the A32Ss, there would be fewer incoming Airbuses than outgoing RJ100s ? Fewer incoming A...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Regarding the Facebook of sn, the next A330 will be 6 year old and come from Singapour Airlines. So it will be A330-300 I think SQ has RR engines on their 330's, no? Yes indeed. And they have a nice fleet of young A330s which they are going to phase out, do its not going to be an orphan in the flee...

Its actually going to be quite a massive transatlantic assault by A++ on BRU as not only does SN launch Toronto, they will also add a weekly frequency on Washington while United will launch a second daily Newark.

I hope that SN will react as quick as possible to take the lead! News is going to come by next week. ;) Plans for a significant expansion on long haul in S16 were ready and then 9W pulls out, spurring SN to review next year's ambitions upward... a bit more patience is needed to get A++ to agree to ...
