If they won't find the wreckage or the black boxes, then the world will never know. The boxes' emergency beacon only has power for around ~48 hours, so it's a race against the clock.

Re: Luchtvaartdag 2014 - Zaterdag 8 maart

OO-SFM (A333 - Brussels Airlines) will be towed on 08/04 to hangar 117 for the "Luchtvaartdag". Visitors will be able to visit the aircraft, the cockpit and will also be able to have a look at the technical side of the aircraft. IVAO is holding a special real-time flight event and will pr...

Re: Brussels airlines future and financial perspective

Indeed RoMax a lot of cargo operations are outsourced to GSSA. The GSSA gets a buying rate on the european market and a com on the african network but that means there is no overhead on SN cargo staff for the revenue generated if I compare it with all the staff involved for pax. At the airport I se...

Re: BRU-FRA-DXB (Dubai) with LH in C class. Part 1: BRU-FRA

Great Trip Report as usual! ;) I then proceeded to the business lounge for Lufthansa in Terminal A, which, strangely enough, is not the Brussels Airlines lounge, but the SAS lounge. The SN lounge is currently undergoing renovations. So that's why they temporarily use the SAS lounge. Next to us a rar...

Re: Biman to operate DC-10 to and in UK in February

I will remember the Biman DC-10 as star in VRT's docusoap "Het leven zoals het is: luchthaven", some 10 or 15 years ago. With the poor Biman station manager staring at a landing gear oil leak, hoping it would disappear without technical intervention. I can remember that aswell. It was suc...

I don't think it was going to get JAF Colours. Since JAP will be replaced by another Dreamliner no?

Re: Ryanair at Brussels Airport - reason for clean-up

That would be exactly what all these SN fan boys want ... No way in hell :D Panebas. You dont have other issues to deal with???? Like .... Another broken A330 for example? :D Maybe your Airline should quickly deal with the possible strike on thursday. Or do you want your passengers to drag their lu...

Yes, probably C-Check. And I also saw that OO-SFN is in Kinshasa since 21FEB. Something wrong?

There we go again . Yesterday the SN flight to Luanda had a fuel leak. Flight got a delay of aprox. 3 hours but the passengers could leave on a "Spare" A330 According to Brussels' Twitter.

Re: Brussels Airlines' second US destination

Feb is, I think, the quietest month on N-Atlantic. And they have cut 2 weekly from the Summer 5; only fly it on Tue, Fri and Sun this month. Does anyone have any idea of the l/f last summer? I flew BRU-IAD-JFK last summer because it was way cheaper thanks to many promotions. L/F on BRU-IAD was arou...

NEW RELEASE: 1:500 Herpa Brussels Airlines A320 "Red Devils"

Hello, I thougt it was time to open a topic for this beautiful SN A320 in it's Red Devil colour scheme. 2014 is the year in which the world again revolves around soccer. After the Belgian national soccer team, nicknamed "Red Devils" has made it to the World Championship in Brazil, the larg...

Re: A first big problem (and delay) for the JAF 787 OO-JDL ?

Unfortunately, not all airlines apply common sense when extraordinary circumstances apply - example when the destination airport is closed because of fog, a few airlines drop off passengers in strange airports without giving them further assistance. It's these few airlines that cause European polit...

I don't know if it is a joke, but the Brussels Airlines page in Dutch on Wikipedia was modified yesterday evening by user 94.226.117.17 ( a Telenet residential user) to include four A350-900 aircraft as future aircraft in the Brussels Airlines fleet. https://nl.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bruss...
