When someone makes a mistake and does not correct it is just adding a second mistake on top. All these mistakes replacing the right thing. The difference is substantial!

What is clear is that the european institutions need to get closer to citizens and to streamline its organization. In general it is like a Gordian knot to its citizens, with councils, commissions, commitologies, pillars...; and all kind of new word inventions to 'explain' its barroque organisation.....

My experience commuting on a weekly basis with Ryanair for almost one year. Preliminary comments - How did I get to use Ryanair? Previously I was flying Vueling, and because I got pissed off with them a changed to Ryanair. One day they canceled the flight but they told to us it was a delay, exactly ...

Right! Without the non-sense constraints there will be many interested. Actually what airlines ask is more than reasonable, to be able to run it under the same criteria as other (successful) airlines are run. Otherwise it will continue dying slowly,as any manager cannot manage it but just administer...

Yesterday I saw on tv some comments about this. What shocked me most was a graphic they showed with the share price in the last 10 years. In 1997 the share price was 22.5 Euros and yesterday it was at 0.7 Euros. I fly quite often to/from Italy and I always avoid Alitalia. I choose them twice and bot...

BCN spotting

Although I am not a spotter myself I just wanted to share with you what I have read in today's newspaper. El Prat municipality, where BCN airport is located, has set up a spotting area adjacent to the airport. For furhter details (sorry it's in Spanish) and pic: http://www.lavanguardia.es/lv24h/2007...

Beware of cancellations: they do not follow the current applicable EU directives on the topic, so you won't get any compensation in case of cancellations. In my case they promised a 40 Euro voucher for other Vueling flight purchase; not quite as per the applicable law but better than nothing. The ba...

This is excellent news. I already complained some time ago on the "tricks" with taxes and surcharges. Finally we will get the actual price from getting from point A to B without the need to know the tax structure of the airline or their costs in security, fuel, etc. I am sure everyone has ...

I think I will be one of their customers.

I still have issues pending with Vueling where they claimed they will send me a voucher not in line with EC regulations and I am still waiting after 3 or 4 months.

My experience is different. I flew many times long haul with LH, also to PEK (from FRA) and it is one of my favorite airlines, if not the most. I fly very often and I expend many nights and take many meals on airplanes; and despite my home airport is AMS I always choose them as a first option becaus...

I also fly weekly with Vueling and their service is normally good, better than other LCC, and possibly there are much worse airlines but this does not preclude that they seriously failed in their customer service that time.

The trouble and inconvenience to passengers caused by cancellation of flights should also be reduced. This should be achieved by inducing carriers to inform passengers of cancellations before the scheduled time of departure and in addition to offer them reasonable rerouting, so that the passengers c...

Vueling violates European Regulation (EC) no. 261/2004

The following situation happened to me almost 2 months ago. Since then I have not received any news from Vueling. I am writing this negative statement about Vueling since I consider that given the time passed since the event took place they have had more than enough time to react according to the ap...

Just flew last week my first time with SAS. Totally disapointing, I will never choose them again if I have another choice. I am not surprised at all. I recently flew with Austrian a couple of longe haul flights in business class (D) to Asia. I agree, preferred option is LAN for quality and, usually, price (except if other is preferred because of miles).

LAN actually departs from FRA with a stop in MAD, then is direct.

With LH: FRA-SCL with a stop in SAO.

IB flies direct MAD-SCL.

I fly regularly with Vueling since they started to fly BCN-AMS. My highlight comments are: - excellent quality/price ratio (forget Transavia, Virgin, KLM, Iberia...) - legroom is below comfort levels (but for 2 hrs you can survive it) - it is very good that you can choose your seat on their web page...

My first flight was Barcelona-Moscow with Aeroflot.

That was in the early '90s, don't remember well but 91 or 92.

I have no idea about the airplane, it was a rather large one with 2 aisles and I remember it had a lift the crew was using.
