Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
On a slightly positive note, in the interview obe referred us to, Boxberg's answers had much more substance than previously. She has learned, but is still under the orders of the Big Boss. Dorothea is a Spohr disciple. Like Christina before.. so many years lost...so many opprtunities gone...so much...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Well, the good news is that OO-SFC is back from MAN where she spent more than 3 months. I saw her arriving on Saturday evening, still wearing the classic BeeLine livery. SN long haul fleet indeed shows a nice aero-diversity : = Four (4) birds with the classic BeeLine. OO-SFC, -D, -E, -G. = One (1) ...

Re: Brucargo 2024: cargo routes & news
Inbound cargo is full of fresh fish... Also dolphins that the Faroe Islands are accused of massacring? (I know, dolphins are not fish) What does this have to do with LATAM flying from South America to BRU? Its about FarPor Cargo airline. Flying all kind of fish to BRU. Never seen videos how theu ki...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
DELTA KLM AF has over 35 destination in USA and DN. With sometimes 2 or 3 flights a day. Also UK is primary market, as Scandinavia and Poland. AMS and CDG are huge Hubs with many African destinations. Thanks to genius CS and his sergeants SN stands there in its underwear. UA would already have done ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
And SFB would go to the paint shop in two weeks time. Finally. About time the EW-liveries leave the fleet. (it's almost 3 years after the introduction of the new livery and only 2 long haul planes have been repainted...) 6 Aircrafts...so 4 or 5 flights to Africa ! We hare far from the hub to Africa...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2024
Big losses for LH, OS, SN...in Q1. To Many streikes because bad social climate in those airlines, due to poor and arrogant management.. For SN we can predict that the summer figures, on which they count as a holiday-airline will be fàaaar below 2023 figures. Giving up their (small) hub-function and ...

Re: BRU Winter 2024-2025: News, new routes, airlines
BRU has indeed double bridges. As a matter of fact, all bridges at the B pier are/will be renewed by the end of 2025. Double bridges for intercontinental flights and single bridges for short and medium haul flights https://www.facebook.com/share/v/hYv4AdTYir8MDjqt/ There is one triple bridge. Yes, ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
The absence of a divider curtain is not justifiable. As said by another member, all other non low cost airlines have it. It cannot be a major/expensive investment. It is, in my opinion, a question of respect towards high yield customers. SN's business class on the A319/320 is also far below average...

Nothing new, but exactly what is communicated since 2 years. https://simpleflying.com/brussels-airlines-renew-airbus-a320-fleet-before-a330s/ Simplyflying is one of the websites on aviation. And Shah a good reporter. Still, this " interview " is quite weak Reporter does not go deep with h...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
It remains strange that Spohr launches news about Brussels to become a hub for USA to Africa traffic. UA.AC and SN have hardly 7 or 8 flights a day. SN flies mostly to french speaking countries in Africa. Not hot spots for US citizens... At the same time SN has to downsize European network, cancelli...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
That is all long haul. I understand (correct me if I ma wrong) that allocating new or additional aircraft to airlines of the LH Group is a "Group" decision. My conclusion is, again, that the top managers of LH Group and SN do not see SN as a priority and do not recognize SN's needs both l...

Indeed, also SAS left Star alliance.
Furthermore, it looks like ITA also going for Skyteam.

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
I wonder why SN is not getting Embraer 170 or A220-100 present within the Group to serve thinner routes and to increase feeder service ? Again, you have to see the big picture as the brand is not independent. The strategy within the group is to simply operations and thus increase their efficiency -...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future
By the EWD tomorrow we know if the permit will be prolonged and which will be the extra conditions. EWD? And that permit is a certainty. The Flemish government will not block the second economic pool of our country, esp. minister Demir and her party. My guess that - if their are any - extra conditi...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2024
Of course Ethiopian should be on top.
Yearly 15mio PAX to and from Addis.
In Canada they serve only Toronto
US: JFK, Newark, Chicago, Atlanta, Washinton.
LAX and Houston stopped.
Well, anyway SN and LH colleagues ate not even on the list
AF/KL are far ahead of them.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2024
The strike is of course bad news, and detrimental for the reputation and future of SN Still, the first to blame is the German managent. Since many years now they have desinvested in SN and given almost no chance to the airline. If you buy a company you have the moral duty to make it work. Germans an...
