Re: BRU Winter 2024-2025: News, new routes, airlines
I am happy if foreign big airlines come (back) to BRU. If our princess and prime minister up can open doors so well for foreign airlines, why they do nothing to open doors for SN to fly more important business destinations ?? And they could also fly to FRA , or take ICE train to go and have a talk w...

SN is very much going the same way as SNCB, De Lijn,...Bpost
Maybe more Belgium know semi-state organisations.
I know SN is in German hands.

Sign of lack of confidence.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2024
Confirms my point; no ambition, happy to be an underdog. How sad for our national airline. Let us give everything to our competitors. Which competitors? Low-cost airlines? Pinky-swear you won't complain about the inevitable decline in service if Brussels goes full low-cost? This for a business rout...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2024
Brussels Airlines will extend the business class product to the full network from 1st february. So far, some of the leisure flights was exclusively bookable in economy class. It is nice to read this, and also that they will have new uniforms, and make a bike trip in Ghana. I would however prefer to...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2024
It's thus a problem of priorities, and Wi-Fi is clearly not a priority for SN Thanks for the info... Now we have the proof that SN is not considered an equal partner of the LH group as SR and AU... SN is clearly the low cost airline... but with almost the same fares as the other airlines... Even on...

AA04AA56-B348-4907-A2F6-C64E875A425F.jpeg Eurowings has stopped flying to Brussels since 2022 (Pristina) Not a direct flight ! You have to connect somewhere...to an other aircraft or train ! Indeed. Its via via. If you look at SN website, destinations it looks that they fly to hundreds of places. N...

Re: BRU Winter 2023-2024: news, new routes, airlines
A Pier West, like any other plan for improvement or expansion will not happen within the next 10 years. BRU is indeed condemned to an eternal-looking status-quo. It would be recommendable to improve P B-Pier arrivals. The dead boring corridor, the long queues at immigration, the longlong waiting at ...

Re: BRU Winter 2023-2024: news, new routes, airlines
If I were BRU and wanted to attract more l/h airlines i would! Heavily modernize Pier B arrival Make the passport control faster and more efficient Baggage delivery faster and more efficient This are a few things airlines and their PAX want. BRU puts too much money in fancy offices and parkings for ...

Re: BRU Winter 2023-2024: news, new routes, airlines
Knowing the lack of ambition from BRU, we can in the very best case only expect CX,TG to resume their plans to come(back) to BRU. AA has totally dropped BRU. UA is happy with a few destinations from BRU in USA and has more places to go from AMS to US. ANA perhaps a few flights more per week... And S...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
Over the past years they also evolved towards more direct flights (instead of triangle flights). Maybe they want to do that even more if they have an additional plane? But I guess some of the additional destinations will be rather European since the new A330 is already 'claimed' for starting Nairob...

So, let us be happy with the X-mas decoration at BRU. And the exotic non-business destinations in sub,-saharan Africa.....

Re: BRU Summer 2024: news, new routes, airlines
With the debacle at AMS with the possible still restrictions I would not be surprised Surprisingly, AMS also appears in the video Hmm interesting. Or BRU will be served via codeshare on the daily flights of KLM to BRU or they will bet on both destinations and fly them both They already restarted AM...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
You have to see the whole network. Within the LH Group, BRU is the hub serving sub Saharan Africa. ITA would join gradually the Group and Star Alliance and would have approx 25 long haul aircraft plus 321LR. From a group prospective makes simply no sense to get additional competition between the br...

Re: TUI Aviation in 2023
TuiFly should maybe think about collaborating with Air Belgium for some Caribean destinations
Their only 787 has quite often problems and the news that several hundreds of passengers are blocked for days with poor or no information is simply unprofessional.
Very bad publicity.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
Unions are still thinking like in medieval times. I nearly spat my tea out! Unions in the Middle Ages? Seriously? Your timeline is wrong by about 500 to 1000+ years. Unless you meant SN is treating their workforce as serfs. Has Atlantis really made this statement ? That is unbelievable. We should b...

Re: Dutch slot coordinator excludes 24 airlines from flying to/from Amsterdam Schiphol
Schiphol works on a way to kick out JetBlue and Air India Last year, AMS faced a staff shortage that caused chaos. KLM had to refuse connecting luggage on European flights while the airport limited flights because it could not handle the volume. In summer 2024, Schiphol could cite its staffing issu...
