They have bases in KUL,BKK,... why not here in BRU ? What about the language fact...If they want to transport pax from Afri...

What can Brussels Airport expect from the 'open skies' deal

Hey all!

Just want to start this topic because I'm curious about the effects of the "open skies" deal on Brussels Airport.

As all major airports in Europe (LHR,FRA,CDG,AMS,...) are almost full, could there be a potential for Brussels ?

Excisting carriers starting hubs in Brussels ?

Situation in CKY is very unstabile,SN closed already there town office a few days ago. Apparently the yields on that destination aren't that good... For Bujumbura they don't need the 4th 330 as they can operate it via NBO (who isn't doing that well neither). My guess, and actually that's what we all ...

Sabena in the past had good yields on the DFW route,a lot of jewish people coming from Tel Aviv made a connection with SN to Dallas! I don't understand DC ???? United is already flying from BRU to IAD. Apparently they are going to present 1 new destination in North America and 1 in Africa on the 25t...

Brussels Airlines in need of A330 ccm's and pilots

Brussels Airlines launched several internal and external biddings for pilots and ccm's for the startup operations of the fourth 330. For the cockpit crew they are recruiting external cuz they need qualified people for the first 6 months. Today I "heard" from somebody inside they will apply...

These rumours come from inside SN.

767's are much cheaper in leasing prices than 330's
767's have less capacity, that's what has been announced 31st of march

Last year SN wanted a 4th 330, they had to pay the same price they currently pay for 3 330's !!!!

Will Boston be the first SN operated US flight ?

Hey all,

Rumours are telling that Boston will be the first of three destinations that SN will fly in the US.

AA has no spare planes to do this operation,so they are asking for over 1 year that SN could do this route with their own planes.

It's a fact that the NBO route of SN isn't profitable and know with the KGL crisis....

Let's hope!

I just want to react on the fact that some of you find the A319 not suitable for TLV operations. First of all the BRU-TLV flight is between 3h55-4h15 flightime and the TLV-BRU flight between 4h20-4h40,so not 6hrs like somebody mentioned on this forum. If you see the business class product: choice of...

I don't see why they have to put an aircraft in africa for the DKR-BJL route...they'll fly BRU-DKR-BJL-DKR-BRU like they do now.Sometimes the A319 is already flying this route, perfectly possible with reduced pax load. They will have the capacity because SN is thinking to stop the BRU-CMN route by th...

The exact period for the refurbishment is not yet mentioned, the commercial department is still looking for the supplier of the new seats... As we were informed by SN's commercial department, Ouagadougou and Cotonou are the most likely new african destination.

Like mentioned before those are planned for the summer of 2006.

First the 3 currently used A330 will be refurbished and repainted.

Has this poll something to do with the small turbulences inside SNBA due to their profit "checks" ? I've spoken Mr. Kuipers personally last week and it wouldn't even come up in me to change a man with such a sense of responsability. I know that some of the cabin crew and pilots are not sat...
