Re: Brussels Airlines' monthly traffic figures

I heard rumours they would open a new route to India, wich wasn't confirmed yet. I didn't knew the PAX from DUS would be for EW, it's more or less like a charterflight.

Re: Brussels Airlines' monthly traffic figures

And another month of growth again. Not a double digit but +8,7% compared with septembre 2016 (+72.709 pax). Since the growth of passengers was stronger than the growth of flights (only +0,8% Passanger load factor grew upto 82,5%. If I'm right, thats one of the best results in absolute numbres, or ma...

Re: Brussels Airlines' monthly traffic figures

SN is gonna have a double digit growth again according to the Brussels Airport Press release https://www.aviation24.be/airports/brussels/record-summer-brussels-airport-2-5-million-passengers-august-7-6/ You are right. SN had a passenger growth of 11% for august 2017 compared with august 2016. The P...

Re: Brussels Airlines' monthly traffic figures

Well indeed we see another semester "in the green" (all results better than the year before). When we compare the first six months of 2015, 2016 and 2017, there is good evolution. Whereas in 2015 the average seat load factor was about 69,8% it climbed upto 71,4 in 2016, and reaches 75% in ...

Re: Brussels Airlines rewards scheme

I'm using Loop, I started in januari '16 but I don't fligh that often so I chose Loop since they last one year, not regarding if you fligh once, twice or ten times a year. Some actions give you extra loops. Quite happy with it.

Re: Brussels Airlines' monthly traffic figures

Aha, comparing the year to date we see for 2016 a total of 2 682 427 passengers with load-factors between 66,5 and 73% (avg 70,2%). For the same period in 2017 we see 3 422 226 passengers and load factors between 65% and 81% (avg 74%). The averages are just the load average as calculated in excell. ...

Ryanair seating complaints

Since a few days more and more Ryanair passengers complain about the seating. Despite some empty seats (even Ryanair has it), people who booked together (but didn't reserve a seat) are split. People complaining about a hidden strategy: making them pay more if they want to reverse a seat and sit toge...

Re: Brussels Airlines' monthly traffic figures

Compared to last month they made a growth of 0,2% pasangers, so more or less a status quo. Compared with last year the growth is significant due to the attacs last year. A Load factor around 76,5%. I thinkg given the fact that they are increasing the amount of seats they arn't doing bad, are they?

Brussels Flight Simulator

G'day all, I'm considering to give myself a late present for my 30th birthday (allready bought some second hand books about Sabena round my birthday) but I've found the Brussels Flight Simulator, where you can hire a seat in the cockpit and enjoy a flight (as a pilot). I was wondering if some of you...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Are these "new" frames only intended for replacement, or for expansion as well? (i.e.. both SFZ and SFY stay, for example) I think for replacement. Yet I heard rumours about opening a new line to Miami, but I'm not all sure about that so maybe in the future there might be further expansio...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Well I'm not an expert but given the fact that SN is only profitable since 2015 (okay there was profit in 2007 and 2010), and we don't know if it is a sustainable profit,we hope it is, I consider it as prudent management as BAAV already mentioned. Given the fact that a new A330-200 costs $229mio, a ...

Re: Sabena planes still flying by other airlines

Does the AVRO Fleet counts as well? However, the AVRO Fleet was operated by DAT wich was a sub company (daughter, or how should I translate?) and later the succesor of Sabena. They are now part of Brussels Airlines, well, pour le temps qui reste.

Re: Brussels Airlines' monthly traffic figures

As far as I can see, this is a record month in their history (Figures I have, starting from feb. 2014): 837 646 passengers, beating september and july 2016 (813 982 and 788 491 PAX). On Passenger Load Factor this was the seventh best month 81% is pretty good I asume, yet the summermonths (mainly jul...
