Re: TUI Airline in 2024
TUIFly Belgium seems to be operating a 777 on BRU-TFS this Friday. Does anyone know where they wet-lease it (i assume) from?

For reference, I had 2 cancelled flights in March/April 2020 and got my cash refund in September 2020 (after the cash injection of the "loan").

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2022
Latest news is that the SUITE lounge (at A pier) is now closed. C class pax. on SN can use the Diamond lounge, otherwise the only option is the LOFT (at B pier). Reception at the loft told me that the closure is permanent(!) but all pax. are welcome in the LOFT, as long as they keep track of time. F...

Are there problems with snow in BRU at the moment? I see some delays and cancellations.

Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2022
Well, departures had an issue as well. Apparently winds caused some damage on the departure level and no (de)boarding could be done through the jet bridges. Pax had to wait for 2+ hours in planes and similarly departures (mostly through the lower level A34-35) took for ever since only a few buses we...

Re: Looking back to 2021: one year of flights
ORK-AMS-BRU: KLM, one ticket, with a short connection in AMS. I actually missed the AMS-BRU flight because ORK-AMS had a small delay. I was put on a later AMS-BRU arriving in BRU with a 4 hour delay compared to what I had booked. I was wondering does this case qualify for EU compensation? (I do not...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2021
I confirmed something that I read by someone earlier (but did not want to believe): SN now charges for changing your (randomly?) allocated seat during check-in. 14 euro for standard seats and 20 for preferred. That is not the case in the rest of LH mainline group where seat selection still remains f...

Re: booked a flight, not sure if I will arrive back home
I think you might have an issue. What kiwi.com did in these cases is that they booked for you 2 separate Ryanair flights (AMM-BLQ and BLQ-CRL), like you would do, meaning that practically there is no responsibility of the airline to carry you to your final destination. What kiwi.com does in these ca...

I think all *A carriers apply the same rule: companions need to travel on the same destination. It's not just SN.

Can you provide more info? Did they stop giving out boarding passes in order to check the documents? Was that line for SEN/*A gold etc.?

It's also a very low utilization of the fleet at the moment. Most planes fly 2 routes / day? And they start as late as 07.30 or 08.30 or even 09.00. And they might be back in base by 20.00.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
I think we took the same flights. I find a really nice gesture that they spray your hands with antiseptic upon entrance and that they do distribute one wipe per pax. onboard. Service also is fully back (buy-on-board). Service in C seemed to me different on the BRU-FCO (only 1 pax and i think they ju...

Many airlines have kept BRU flights also due to the EU commission, parliament etc. Same for Aegean. They stopped all international flights but BRU.

Finnair to receive 600M loan from government. https://simpleflying.com/finnair-600m-loan/
maybe it would be good to keep track of all these amounts / airline / state?

Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines
A little off-topic, I have a small question: Why Brussels Airlines and Air New Zealand do not work together between BRU and Heathrow (codeshare)? If you would booking a flight between BRU and LAX (for example) with Air New Zealand, you need a connection in LHR Terminal 2 (Star Alliance). But the BR...
