Without the intervention from Lufthansa, the Belgian State probably would have lost everything.
But elsewhere in thé article the journalists recall the dirty trick used by Lufthansa to pay almost nothing for the last 55% of Brussels Airlines.

The Belgian State lost 60 million euros on the rescue of Brussels Airlines In 2002, the Federal Holding and Investment Company (SFPI/FPIM) granted a loan of 125 million euros to SN Airholding, the parent company of the Brussels Airlines company born a year earlier on the ashes of Sabena. The article says that the new investor will concentrate on A320 charter flights, like VLM was doing. But later also on A330 flights to Asia !!!! Instead of VLM or in addition to VLM, Air Belgium, Cathay, Hainan, etc.????

It's the same administration, the BCAA, that delivers the registrations and the AOCs. One can hope that their people speak to each other.

As to that Cessna: are you sure it's theirs? It could just be an entry on the same print screen, yet by somebody completely unrelated? No, the Cessna belongs to Servisair Belgium, but when you ask for Air Belgium in the register, it gives every company with the letters "Air Belgium", thus also "Ser...

The first two A340-313 aircraft of Air Belgium have got their Belgian registration (OO-ABA and -ABB) as of today, 16 February. Both were built in 2007. Maybe somewhere else in Belgium they have already forgotten about "Agusta", but not in the North ... I don't see the relation to this topic. Agusta was Italian, not French. And the main guy affected by the scandal was from the North: Willy Claes had to quit his job as Secretary-General of NATO. Wor...
