No this is 3 times per week... it was already like that and it will continue to be like that when Niger airspace will open again.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
Air France and Lufthansa have a much bigger fleet than SN giving them much more flexibility, do you really think that with only 9 aircraft we will use one of them for a rotation of more than 30h, more than half of it on the ground in LAD not making any revenue? It woud simply be loss making. I know...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
For the crew they can work like the others and arrive in the morning and leave in the evening the crew rest overday. SN don't fly much cargo to Luanda by the way. Lovely idea, and so we have an airplane stuck for minimum for 19h, in LAD. I really think you got a point, I send directly a mail to Dor...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
30 pax per flight to Luanda. it's very very low. I hope it's not the average load factor during the year, because i wonder how the airline can be profitable on this route (excluding the tag with Kinshasa) ? Huge demand in biz class and for cargo ? The airline aims to minimise fuel consumption and c...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
We do have some picture internally but I hope you understand I can't share it before SN release it. But this is a totally new cabin, new seat, new colour, much more stylish, dark grey with a red line, new head rest cover dark grey as well with the new SN logo, no more navy blue, the carpet on the fl...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
In the meantime, OO-SNO has just got a 2 days retrofit and became the first one to get the new Geven Essenza seat, instead of the Recaro one, to allign with the Lufthansa group. This is a major improvement for PAX comfort and will allow in the futur the possibility to get USB port.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
Just asking the insiders, what is the growth scenario for SN? Austrian is getting 1 additional 320NEO and 1 late CEO from LH, Edelweiss is getting a late CEO as well. Are some 319 exits from the fleet postponed? So far there are 5 A320NEO planned for next year, 1 to be delivered in September, 2 in ...

Re: Closure of Niger airspace following coup d'état.
In my opinion, you are right to say SN is not the only big player it used to be, I fully agree. But still SN remain a big player in Africa and to me still a leader in there at the same level than AF TK and the M3. Not to forget that beside the SN flight, Brussels Airlines is also the center of compe...

Edelweiss to receive 2 A320 from Swiss and 1 A320 from Lufthansa (growing and renewal). On the long haul side, the 5 A340 are planned to be replaced by 6 A350-900 coming from Latam Brazil (4) and Hainan Airlines (2) The 2 youngest A320ceo of Swiss are then being transfer to Edelweiss. The only A320c...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
Either they knew and shouldn’t have boarded either they missed the slot and got a new one two hours later. It's now obvious you have no clue how ground ops work. Are you actually aware that sometimes we have plenty of times to board with a slot but because of a PAX not showing up with a luggage in ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
These things do happen indeed, BUT, why board passengers when you have a 2 hour slot? Just delay boarding to minimise the discomfort. When having a slot we still board the PAX because as from the moment that the door are closed, a "ready message" is sent to ATC, aircraft can then leave ea...

I do not want to go SN bashing, but how could an incident like the one on the MAD BRU flight happen ? Flying two hours without air conditioning ? I do not understand. Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
For a small company such as SN, simplicity is an asset and the major challenge of the decade is to move to an all 320 fleet towards the end of the decade. The same move applies for the other group companies : - Austrian removed the 319 as in between size between E95 and A320 and is expanding via ad...

SN is definitely not (anymore) the unwanted child as some frustrated people seems to claim for. SN is growing steadily year after year since covid and there are many plan in the pipeline. Indeed SN focus mainly on europe and Africa but Africa is the reason why Lufthansa bought it as the group was we...
