Re: Where will you fly in 2013 ?

Time for an update (very "light" year for me... aviation-wise :) ) Flown: April 2013 BRU-LIS - TAP - A319 LIS-PDL - Sata - A310 (new type. Landed at TER finally due to bad weather, and arrived to PDL the day after by ship. PDL = Ponta Delgada, Azores, and TER = Lajes Airport, Terceira, Azo...

Re: Fear

Hi Girl with (hopefully less) fear! Regarding flying with TAP, I flew with them last April / May from Brussels to Lisbon and back, as well as from the middle of the Ocean (Azores Archipelago) to Lisbon, in an A330. They're a good airline, and nothing to worry security wise. As said by other members,...

Hi André!

Which airport was your friend flying from? If it was from Amsterdam, the only direct flights I could see are operated with Flybe. However, on their webpage about codeshare (https://www.flybe.com/franchise_codesha ... shares.htm, KLM is not mentioned. On the other hand, Air France is.

Thanks for the info... and so sad to hear the news

I had read a lot about him, also his book "J'ai volé la liberté" relating his escape from occupied Belgium and his time in the RAF during WW2.

4 F-16 over Brussels this morning - 05/08/13

Hello all,

I'm at work in Groot-Bijgaarden just at the junction of the Ring and E40 and just saw a formation of 4 F-16 flying at low speed / altitude from Groot-Bijgaarden towards the Center/South of Brussels (around 11:05 AM). Any event going on?

Have a nice day!

Fabien.

Re: RYANAIR to increase luggage fee to €50 before summer's e

What about people that have already booked with FR? Should they pay the difference at the airport?

And from when is it effective?

Just asking because some family members will fly with them next week.

I'll try to have one ready not too long after the trip (still have a backlog of the Azores ones... but the Avgeek will come first :) )

Just to confirm it's possible to check-in online, just did it myself.

See you tomorrow!

Was some minutes ago on the Ring (between Leonard and 4 Bras /4 Armen) when I saw a part of wave 3 (Good reason for respecting the speed limit  ), but did not see the A400M... (only the C130, C160, A330, ERJ145). But what a sight :D !

Re: Crash at SFO! Asiana Airlines Boeing 777

Thank you for the video André. Where did the left engine end up? In the video (from 0:20), it seems it was "thrown away" violently. Is it the video being not 100% accurate (what I can understand of course, not criticizing it), or could the engine have passed not that far from the nearby UA...

Wow! What an adventure! And that on a honeymoon trip where everything should go as scheduled. At least you did not get bored... Thanks André! For sure I did not get bored. And, for once, I was not too stressed about schedule. We had 2,5 weeks of holiday, booked with a travel agency (a first for me)...

[TR] Honeymoon in the Azores - SATA and the A310

Re: To Lyon and back

Hi, As far as I remember I noticed no problems there with tainted windows. At the gates however you have tainted windows, not ideal for spotting. As said above by CRJ, the windows are not tainted, and one can see the apron eg from the T1 extension(...). I stand corrected, as indeed I only rushed fr...

Re: To Lyon and back

Hi SilverJet, From what I remember of my very short transit (15 minutes) last year, yes, you can spot some planes from the terminals (airside), but the windows are tinted, with sometimes nasty reflections. See some pics on my blog: Trip to Florence and back via Lyon . Scroll down to around 60% to th...
