Re: Air India: "Jet Airways may join Star Alliance too"
9W and Star is blablabla and a lot of blablabla speculation on the back of Air India. In fact S.T negotiates hard with 9W and GOL, it is widely known at AF-KL, plus Schiphol is also taking part to the talks with 9W. They absolutely want those two. Having in mind that GOL-Varig might start intercont...

Re: Air India: "Jet Airways may join Star Alliance too"
Be aware that there has been no official confirmation of this news report, and that it has been reported in only one news source ( the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation) . None of the other regular aviation news sources (flightglobal, aviation week etc) have picked up on this story as far as I can s...

Re: BrusselsAirlines - the TURBOPROPS will come!
Question is, would eventual turboprops be to add new destinations (thin routes) or replace some AVRO on existing routes, or a combination of both? I could see e.g. Luxembourg, Nantes or Bordeaux added ... Danny I wouldn't see this happen for the winter season. Turboprops will mainly serve to replac...

Re: Air India: "Jet Airways may join Star Alliance too"
Don't know it this is really good news (for BRU): Senior government officials and members of Star Alliance will hold talks on July 18 on the progress of Air India’s induction into the international airline association. “A meeting with Star Alliance (officials) would be held July 18,” said Arvind Ja...

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet
Last week 'De Tijd' indeed reported that after summer '11 the leasings of 3 B737s would end and would not be renewed (in order to decrease capacity during winter). They also reported that starting from summer '12 these B737s might gradually be replaced by more A319/320s. Any idea/guess which 737's ...

OO-DJK left the fleet a couple of months ago. Did any other AVRO leave the fleet meanwhile (OO-DJL)?

Re: Brussels Airlines OO-VEN : loss of cabin pressure
This is called " business ". Many many airports are happy to have Ryanair. For instance, MAD now has 15 FR based aircraft ( and a total of 110 FR daily flights ). All that within 2 years approximately! I'm sure they'd like to keep this situation... I hope you are kidding...if threatening ...

Re: Brussels Airlines OO-VEN : loss of cabin pressure
All pax got taken care off and all arrived at their destination. Well, it's the very least they could do, isn't ? And the same can be said of Ryanair passengers; perhaps there are fewer incidents at Ryanair because they don't fly whith hand-me-down aircraft that other LCC don't want anymore ... yes...

Re: Brussels Airlines OO-VEN : loss of cabin pressure
This is the difference between LCC and the 'beloved national carrier' like you prefer calling SN. In case of an LCC has a technical problem, they leave their pax stranded without a solution. In case of a full service carrier, pax are taken care of. Even if it comes with a delay. Are taken care of ?...

Re: Brussels Airlines OO-VEN : loss of cabin pressure
All i could say is this : if this double incident would involve a Ryanair aircraft ( or another LCC ), the press would have been much more talkative...But when it's their beloved national airline, they are very quiet...That's not fair. Just my 2 cents... Well isn't that a good thing hahahaha Some o...
