Re: British Airways adds fish and chips to inflight menu

You can't beat a good portion of fish and chips. But served on a plane, I'm not sure how 'fresh' it will be...

Re: Brussels Airlines' second US destination

SN should definitely cherry pick some protected markets from carriers like AF and go after TNR once a weekend. I would have loved to have seen SN in the Indian Ocean, esp as AF and AirMad more or less have control over TNR. But I just read that Turkish Airlines will start an IST-TNR-MRU flight perh...

Re: BRU summer 2012: latest news, routes, airlines

Jetairfly launches 3 new routes from Brussels Airport : Ponta Delgada on the Island of Sao Miguel in the Portuguese Azores (every Monday from April), and Skopje and Ohrid in Macedonia (every Tuesday and Sunday from May). This brings the total number of Jetairfly destinations to 122. Wow, interestin...

Re: LH aggressively promotes Africa

http://www.flytoafrica.be/index.html Just checked that website, I had no idea SWISS fly to Mauritius and got excited thinking it was a new destination - so had a further look, and in fact it's Eidelweiss - which appear here to be incorporated into Star Alliance African destinations . It's only once ...

JAF to MRU ? That would be ace, would save me a trip to CDG or LHR :-) Do you think it would work? I know MK used to fly to BRU but the route was axed.

Air Mauritius used to fly to Brussels, not sure when they stopped, I think it was around 2000 ?

Re: KLM to open Kigali route

I think a nice and hard retaliation on the part of SN/LH would be to open a route to Madagascar. I've thought for a long time what if SN could combine Antananarivo in Madagascar (to try and dent the more or less AF monopoly) with Moroni in the Comoros which has no direct service to France/Europe. C...

Korean Air at BRU

I was on my way home from work today and saw 5 (!) Korean Air 747s - often I see one KE cargo plane on the tarmac but was taken aback by 5 - anyone know why there were so many? Is it usual? I'd never seen this many before at BRU, that's all.

For a minute there my heart skipped a beat, I thought these were the new destinations for SN metal - which seemed rather out of the blue!

Re: BRUSSELS AIRLINES to join STAR ALLIANCE in December

Hi
I have read this forum for a couple of years and never got round to registering, so 1st post!
Do you think the event in Grand Place will be open to the public? Or what exactly they'll be doing there? I'd like to pop down to see what's going on if it might be interesting
Cheers!
