Re: Charges/incentive in LGG

Acid-drop, It's not only about being big enough...Brucargo as such is a small village, with about 100 different forwarding agents, but with a lot of benefits that are not to be found in LGG (custom advantages, forklift driving allowed, free movement without custom clearing, etc) Now give me one reas...

Re: Charges/incentive in LGG

Btw, Mr Pompier said "maybe', which can be any way. It's not insinuating, it's a way that it could be, or couldn't.And everybody thinks it it's own way. Let me give an example for Acid Drop about benefits,to understand why for example a cargo airline decided to leave MST - a small but beautiful...

Re: 2010 Liège Airport (LGG) latest news

I am like convinced that LGG Mgt reads this too, and if there was anything that would not be through, I would expect them to react. Which they don't, so I don't see a problem. None of my posts are meant as an attack nor as a denigration, just meant to be open... A question please: how much trucked f...

Re: Charges/incentive in LGG

Acid-Drop, In one post you say that incentives should be bigger, and now you say that they aren't of importance...Any idea on what your real point of view is ? My point is clear: most respected airlines do not care about high incentives, but care about other much more important things that finally a...

Re: 2010 Liège Airport (LGG) latest news

It's not even IATA who makes the figures. And the calculation was quit easy to do to proove it: take the number of aircraft and their type, fill them with real figures ( such as thay ET leaves back to ADD almost empty but comes in full, etc) and you will NEVER reach the LGG total. This proves that t...

Re: Charges/incentive in LGG

To reply on the last comment: to do better with less . Look at the other topic on trucked freight too, and compare apples with apples. Add trucked freight to BRU too and you see the difference. So no, LGG does not do better with less at all and is approx 200.000 tons away then. Or compare cargo with...

Re: 2010 Liège Airport (LGG) latest news

I expect it to be around 200.000 tons indeed. BRU never adds them into the cargo figures, as they separate all of it. In theory, none of the airports should add trucking figures, except that LGG does that. (and some other smaller european players). This remark has even been dropped to the official i...

Absolutely correct, LGG figures include trucked freight which is not for BRU !

Re: 2010 Liège Airport (LGG) latest news

They indeed do not care to know if they deserve a number one or not. They care to serve an airport with opportunities such as interlining, in working together with other airlines, in belly space possibilities, etc... And there indeed a number of carriers is important, this is why BRU is still "...

Re: 2010 Liège Airport (LGG) latest news

And by the way, LGG is not a cargo airport, it's an integrator airport. Just look at the way BRU reports it's figures in 3 parts: Integrator buss, cargo on FF and cargo on belly. Ask LGG to do the same, and please look at the "cargo" figures then to compare who is a cargo airport. BRU = 12...

Re: Brucargo 2010: latest news, routes, cargoairlines

Super, surely when you consider that it was a hard fight as from the beginning between CDG and BRU. Untill the very last days prior to the re-start, AT was doubting to open both. Some wanted CDG to be bigger than BRU on number of flights. Finally, they decided to give both the same chance, and what ...

Re: 2010 Liège Airport (LGG) latest news

Acid-drop,I hope you are kidding when you say such things. Do you really want figures to compare. I can give you these in all honesty, I have copies of presentations LGG made to potential airlines, including their financial offers. I have the same for BRU and for some other european airports too. Be...

Re: Brussels Airport: monthly figures 2009

Pleae consider changes in aircraft (A330 or B777in case of 9W for example), as well as additional aircraft or additional carriers as very important and directly visible in the figures !

Re: Air Cargo China 2010 YoHo Expo

The Belgian airports all choose separately to book a booth or not. In general, there is only 1 fair a year that is worth exhibiting, which is one year the Tiaca ACF, the other year the Munich Transport Logistics. BRU exhibits at these fairs only, and does not choose to exhibit elsewhere (which is a ...

And by the way, if any BRU-addict would have said that, I would have had exactly the same reaction !
Because it's about reality, not about dreaming as a 4-year old.

Re: 2010 Liège Airport (LGG) latest news

I am absolutely not trying to sparkle a new fight or whatsoever, I am trying to be realistic. Did I mention anything about BRU perhaps ? No sir, not even, as I believe BRU is too small to attract VERY big players too. Be honest, in Belgium we do not have a first rank airport being able to do so...an...

Re: 2010 Liège Airport (LGG) latest news

Hope you are kidding when saying that LGG should attract very big players... FRA and others can do so, as they have the tools, the interlining opportunities, the cargo and belly opportunities, etc, but be honest, LGG does not have these. They should focus on niche carriers, as they are a nich airport.

Re: VCV 05/12/2009 - Cargo B in storage

Regarding BB: it indeed is a different holding who owns the a/c's. As far as I know, the -200's were acquired by an Irish company owned by Petercam, the private banking who adviced BB in the startup and created a fund to support them financially (Petercam was pqrtly owner of BB too I believe) And th...
