Re: Robbery at Brucargo
Probably one of the only companies with so many cash in the office as many customers pay at delivery of their goods. Found it strange why this company based itself here, it seemed the reason was the central location as such. Now this same location was used to easily 'disappear" :D . Hope Brusse...

Re: Charges/incentive in LGG
And by the way, the dutch embasador was there to meet his Dutch compatriotes who are managing the handling over there. And who are doing great by the way. Pity even they don't know that the airport offers half of their well done job free of charges and subsidises it. There used to be a time when the...

Re: Charges/incentive in LGG
Again, CAL flies 767 during the week and only 2 times 747 during the week-end. Question: have they been thinking/planning how to adust the tarmac in case the service drive - which SPL will also need to implement now- will be implemented in LGG ? One day - hopefully soon- it will be a rule. What is g...

Re: Charges/incentive in LGG
I can confirm that the CAL data is wrong too, as they fly 767 during the week and not 747-200. PS:I made wonderfull walk on the LGG tarmac this morning, cold but super weather, 2 aircraft standing still, and NO movement at all for the rest. And wonderfull heated and almost emty warehouses. But, lovel...

Re: Charges/incentive in LGG
Now suddenly the entire figure case is "not so important any more" ??? That's where the discussion was all about, but now it seems not so important anymore ? well well well, and that for a moderator who should focus on the discussion itself and skip all the rest ;) They will never stop sur...

Re: 2010 Charleroi Airport (CRL) latest news
Guys, can't you - instead of saying about being pathetic or whatsoever, just admit that , yes indeed- both CRL and LGG need about half of their revenue as subsidies to end up break-even of profitable ? And that - without these enourmous subidies- that no private company would be able to remain open ...

Re: 2010 Charleroi Airport (CRL) latest news
Unfortunately, the NBB still does not give details on the 2009 figures. I just wonder how many subsidies are given prior to end up with this figure.
for 2008 for example, half of the 55 millions euro revenue were given as subsidies. The same occurs to LGG.
So are we really calling this profit ?

Re: Charges/incentive in LGG
And by the way, the profit WOULD be higher with transit only, as it is only revenue and like no real cost is involved. Having inbound handling to be done and offered free of charges would reduce the profit, so indeed it should be more interesting to do these transit. Can't we propose LGG to become E...

Re: Charges/incentive in LGG
Fully understand it's business and revenue, but don't mix it up as a reason of high cargo volumes.
And that was the origin, we were talking about the fact that about 120 weekly jumbo's were the reason of the 480.000 Tons of cargo.

Re: Charges/incentive in LGG
Acid-drop, You mix up jumbo's with small aircraft, and you show figures wich are incorrect. Excuse me, as a matter of proof I just rang CAL, one of your highest numbers that surprised me, and they have 5 weekly narrow body and only 2 weekly 747. (a total of 7 weekly and not 15 weekly.) Kalitta is do...

Re: Charges/incentive in LGG
My pleasure... something is also clear for me in these last months, you should have a look in all priorly posted messages by these same people: they seem to love using these kind of very aggressive words, and they always say that we, the others, are in search for a fight or whatsoever. Poor attitude...

Re: Charges/incentive in LGG
To Taz: BRU does offer incentives and they are public, straight forward and open/honest and official. Just look at the website, they are published over there. But there are no exceptions at all possible on the incentives, and no extra incentives possible neither. On the other hand, the BRU incentive...

Re: Charges/incentive in LGG
Thanks Taz, it is less than half of what Liege Bierset said, and also for me it is surely more realistic.

Re: Charges/incentive in LGG
Liege-Bierset, I have been quickly checking the flight numbers as you said, I never reach 120 jumbos. Please give me more details about when it would have happened. Sorry to say, but I believe that you blow up the figures, just a same way as LGG blows up some of it's website details like the forwarde...

Re: Charges/incentive in LGG
Dear Liege Bierset, Regi meant to say that a local transport to LGG instead of BRU indeed makes a difference in costprice, and if I am an exporting company for example based in East Flanders, that my cost will surely be higher for delivering to LGG instead of BRU. His comparison was meant to say tha...

Re: 2010 Liège Airport (LGG) latest news
Except the space, it will normally mean that extra charges will also have to be paid, because without military, Belgocontrol should do that work, and be paid for it... and then there are again only 2 solutions: airlines as such pay for it, as it is the case in BRU and many other airports, or the Wal...
