Re: 2022 Military escalation Russia - Ukraine - USA - NATO - Europe

If tensions keep building, I would prohibit all airlines of nato's countries to use Russian airspace for transit.
Only Chinese and other aisian airlines would be abble to fly as usual.

This last Friday (06 March 2020), late afternoon. The A330 is mostly used for commercial flights to Europe. Is it an A330 of LATAM ? Do not know as TAP has a huge maintenance hangar at GIG Airport that provides services for LATAM, TAP, GOL, AVIANCA, LH, AA, TAGG, etc.. http://www.fasternet.com.br/po...

Re: Consequences of the looming Thomas Cook bankruptcy on Brussels Airlines

Calm down. Let's wait what Greta Thunberg is gonna say. If she declares that air travels is polluting and add to climat changes, then, the bankruptcy of TC is a good thing. No more planes, less fossil combustion,... the paradise at the horizon. Everybody will take his vacation in his backyard. That'...

Re: Belgian FIR quasi-closed during night 01-02/03

In this case, the ATC from Luxemburg, or Cologne, or Maastricht could not take over the traffic? It is just to bring the planes closed to Brussels and then the control tower takes over.
Share the radars signals and that's it.

CGN is also a good option for a short trip. Leave the car at P+R Weiden West (free parking) and buy a 2,90 Euros train ticket direct to CGN train station. DB is more realiable that SNCB.

For LUX, the Flibco bus service is great.

What's the point to have a "network", if you have to wait 7 days for your luggages, when strikes hit the airport unexpectivly, when airport closes for 24 hours due to energy problems, when trains are suddenly not running and so on...

Give me an airport I cannot reach from LUX?
