Re: Registration request / 2013
Hi PeGaSus Thank you very much, however - could it be that the registration is not accurate? I have the aircraft as an A321 registered D-AILT, which is not possible as D-AILT is an A319. However, it was was Airbus aircraft for sure so either the registration is wrong or the aircraft type is wrong. A...

Re: Aviation and the Ebola epidemic in West-Africa
Most other airlines - including Air France and British Airways - have stopped flying there, thinking it's unsafe. Who is right ? The future will tell. Why don't you think a little bit further... Sierra Leone and Liberia are far from important for British Airways, so it's easy for them to pull the p...

Flanker - Nobody gives a sh*t about what users comment on hln.be. The average Joe Public doesn't know the details behind ebola or whatever else (user comments are usually funny too when it comes to politics etc.). Neither do I claim to know what measures an airline company should (or should not) tak...

SN crews stay on board in the affected countries, nobody is exiting the aircraft. So there's nothing to declare... The crew stays in Senegal.Lysexpat wrote: I do wonder if SN crew declare having been to Monrovia when they arrive at JFK or IAD, by the way.

Re: Aviation and the Ebola epidemic in West-Africa
Looking at some of the postings above, I see a load of crap again, as usual posted by people who have no clue (and not surprisingly the whole Ryanair lobby using every opportunity to bash SN). The situation is quite simple: you can’t stop people from travelling (has anybody mentioned actually that m...

Re: Is Ryanair cheating their customers?
How long before anybody will bann sean1982? Sn26567 posted a question in a neutral way, and indeed there could (and probably will) be an operational reason like crew rest behind the delay. I'm fed up however with our Mr Oversensitive here who's again being provocative without any reason. Take a chil...

One spelling error in the name shouldn't be a problem, just call them and they'll make a note in the booking.

OK, I can't beat this, I take my words back. I wish SN lots of luck on this new route and look forward - after your pre-announcement - to the official announcement!sean1982 wrote:Because , as it turns out, my rumour was not a rumour.

Re: BRU winter 2014: latest news, routes, airlines
Funny, when I said a few months ago that SN had favored IAD over ACC that was offered by LH, I was called a liar (and much more, that was probably the nicest remark) I wouldn't say you're a liar, just misinformed. General question - why not stick to factual reports in this kind of topics instead of...

Re: New day record for Brussels Airlines during Easter Holid
United carries almost 400.000 pax a day, who cares...airazurxtror wrote:Speaking of Ryanair : during the last twelve months, Ryanair has carried 81.700.000 passengers.
That is to say a daily average of 224.000 passengers ...
That sets the "record" of Brussels Airlines in true perspective, doesn't ?

The only correct info in that newspaper article is that the airplane landed safely... all the other info is drama at best and full of factually incorrect information.

Re: RYR at BRU (press conference)
All the off airport jobs which they like to refer to based on passenger numbers are very questionable to start with, as they depend far more on the kind of passengers, than on their numbers really. The Belgian National Bank did an analysis of the wider economic impact of Ryanair on the Belgian econ...

@Flanker2: you might want to take a look on a worldmap before you continue with all your China to Africa via Brussels theories. And 14 frequencies to Asia on 2 A330s? Maybe have a look at the online timetable of Lufthansa, Air France or British Airways (beware of the time difference ).

OO-DJP is no longer used as back up plane but as a regular one .. Says who? A back-up plane is rotating together with the other planes based on the requirements of the day (planned maintenance on other aircraft, ...). It's not because it's a back-up plane it should only be used on rare/special occa...

Airazurxtror - that's a fair point, a fare paying passenger shouldn't care about all this complexity. However, if you have an AOG at an outstation (talking longhaul operations here), 24hrs is simply what it takes to position technicians and spare parts, repair the aircraft and get it back to base.

Re: Abnormalities in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2014
Romax, your posting summarizes it very clearly... Funny how some people first compare a widebody fleet of 8 units to FR, followed by LH and KL. And even blame a flight ops department at the same time, while their own understanding of airline ops seems to be somehow lacking. Sean1982: unless you are ...
