Re: Lufthansa acquiring Brussels Airlines

One person who isn't excited about this story is Prof. Paul De Grauwe. He talks about the making of a monopoly by LH in the European market. Eliminating competition and driving up the prices which is a 'conspiracy' against the consumers. He hopes that our government (but this is too weak in his opin...

Re: Lufthansa targeting Brussels Airlines

I was thinking about the practical implications of an acquisition (on the long-term)... What does that mean for the fleet based at BRU ? Does that mean that LH will station widebodies at BRU ? For example the Africa network, if they would increase the frequency and therefore base 1 or 2 A340-600's o...

Hello,

I've been there once. It's indeed heaven! My model of the Virgin Atlantic 747 'Lade Penelope' is from that store. But I would have liked to buy alot more things after leaving it. :)

Hi, It's about politics and money I think. Within one week I will start a program to acces the Master International Politics. I've read many books and articles to prepare myself a little bit. So you learn to understand a bit more about these international relations and their dynamics. Saudi Arabia h...

Hello, I remember an exercise some years ago where jets landed on highways to refuel as part of a similar simulation. http://www.taipeitimes.com/images/2007/05/16/20070515211424.jpeg Apparently Taiwan's freeways are also designed as runways for planes in case of military necessity. http://polipundit...

Very sad to read about this...

The picture is as spectacular as horrible. Is that the pilot in the plane on the left? If so, we witness the last moment of this person alive. In a split second everything can change while performing this show.

C 130 activity

Hello, This weekend we had an unusual high activity of air traffic above my village in the Kempen, Antwerp. I saw some classics flying over at low altitude, making some turns and then proceeding their route. Was there an event nearby? This brings me to my second remark. Today I sat in the living roo...

Hello,

Great pictures. Nice place for contrailspotting. You can see different airlines and different aircraft types. The last days it was too cloudy to spot them from my place. I can hear them sometimes but I prefer some visual contact besides the noise.

Bruspotter,

I'm from Vorselaar, so it's near H'tals ofcourse.

I see alot of LH 747's and A 340's when I stand in my garden and look upon the sky. And around 4 pm (don't know it's every day) I see a JAL 777 coming from the East heading West.

Hi,

Time: between 12 and 1 o'clock at noon I think. I didn't watch the clock when they passed.

Altitude: roughly between 15000 and 25000 feet I think

Location: near Herentals, not so far from BRUNO.

Hello,

It was a clear sky today so I have seen a few.

LH A330 (heading to north america I guess)
BA 777
Emirates 777

and question about 2 Transavia 737-7/800 passing my garden at noon, heading West...? Flying to Ostend? Or what?

No problem, SN30952

We aren't journalists who are competing each other to have a scoop I think. We just look at newssites and bring in the relevant information to Luchtzak. :) And indeed so, your information was more detailed.

Hello, I've been 3 times at Crete, once Heraklion and twice Chania. It's indeed so they don't like it. Chania is also a military base. So you can see F 16's taking off, you can see the hangars etc. But they have clear guidelines about taking pics. I've made a few when I deboarded on the tarmac and n...
