Pratt & Whitney’s PurePower Geared Turbofan™ (GTF) engines are now powering four aircraft platforms after today’s successful maiden flight of Embraer’s E-Jet E2 in Brazil. Pratt & Whitney congratulates Embraer on this pivotal milestone and looks forward to powering more successful E2 flights in the future. Embraer selected Pratt & Whitney as the exclusive engine provider for their E-Jets E2 family of aircraft in 2013.
The GTF engine is currently powering the Airbus A320neo, which is flying passengers on two continents, the Bombardier C Series, and the Mitsubishi Regional Jet.
