Plane spotters asked to help reporting suspicious activity around Brussels Airport

Federal Police has asked plane spotters to monitor suspicious activity around Brussels Airport. The plane spotters consider it as a very good idea, as “we are all committed to the airport“.

Members of the Brussels Airport Police have adressed plane spotters who daily gather around the premises of the airport. “We started to make contacts and presented our project Airport Information Network (INA)“, the Brussels Airport Police confirmed to the newspapers of Mediahuis.

“The idea behind INA states:

“if you see something, say something” (If you see suspicious persons or vehicles, please tell us)

The measure was already on the table in 2014, but after the March attacks of last year they are coming into force. The idea is to involve the entire airport community.
