To make sure we can continue to live up to our passengers’ expectations, Brussels South Charleroi Airport is opening a new lounge. It can be found in the boarding area, and means that departing passengers will be able to relax in a quiet environment that boasts a number of amenities; the perfect way to spend your time before take-off. The lounge is due to open at Brussels South Charleroi Airport on 7 September 2015.
Whether you want to finish off some work or spend a bit of time in a welcoming, peaceful setting, there are all sorts of different reasons why you might want to use the lounge. Access to the airport lounge is available for €15. Once inside, passengers will be able to enjoy something to eat and drink. Free Wifi access is available for users of the lounge, who can also choose from a range of international newspapers and magazines. You will also be able to keep up with the latest news thanks to a screen showing a news channel (muted, so as not to disturb the peace, but with subtitles so you can follow the stories), so you can keep an eye on what is going on in the world.
You can pay for access to the lounge in a number of different ways. You can buy online now via the airport website, http://www.charleroi-airport.com. Airport partners including Flibco, ParkCloud and Q-Park also sell access to the lounge via their own online platforms. If you only decide to use the lounge on the day of your departure, that is not a problem; you can purchase access at the airport too, at the information desk or using a terminal in the boarding area. Last but not least, any member of Priority Pass, the company that runs more than 600 lounges around the world, also have access to the lounge; these members just need to go to the information office where an agent will give them an access code for the lounge on presentation of their membership card.
For Jean-Jacques Cloquet, BSCA’s CEO, the opening of the new airport lounge is essential when it comes to meeting the expectations of both passengers and airlines: “Passengers’ travel habits are changing; they sometimes need a quiet space, either to relax or to finish off some work. We are also seeing a growing number of business people travelling through Brussels South Charleroi Airport. It is therefore important that these people have a space in which they can work in peace. The range of people using the airport is diversifying, and the expectations of passengers are changing, so it was important for us to offer services that continue to adapt. This included creating this area for passengers departing from Brussels South Charleroi Airport.”
