As of today passengers at Brussels Airport can purchase 50 cl bottles of mineral water for 1 euro. This makes the airport one of the first to put into practice a recommendation recently issued by ACI Europe, the international organisation of airport operators, to offer water at a low price beyond the hand baggage screening point.

Due to the severe European regulation passengers are not allowed to take drinks beyond security screening. As of today, passengers at Brussels Airport will be able to purchase half a litre of water for 1 euro. The bottles of water will be available from a dedicated water stand located at the beginning of Pier B and at the end of Connector in the direction of Pier A. In doing so, Brussels Airport aims to increase passenger comfort. The stand is unattended, passengers are invited to make a voluntary contribution of 1 euro a bottle.

Brussels Airport is one of the first airports in Europe to implement the recommendation by ACI Europe. ACI EUROPE is the European region of Airports Council International ACI and defends the interests of the European airports.
