Youssef E.A., suspect number 8 in the 22 March terror attacks investigation, worked at Brussels Airport.
The man, a childhood friend of Khalid El Bakraoui had thus direct access to aircraft on the tarmac. He was also friends with another suspect, Ali El Haddad Asufi, and also would have been in Etterbeek in the apartment where the attack was prepared for the Maelbeek metro station.
The 30-year-old Youssef E.A. has been suspected by the investigating judge to participate in the activities of a terrorist group, terrorist murders and attempted terrorist murder, as perpetrator, accomplice or abettor. The federal prosecutor wouldn’t provide any further details about the man but investigation showed that the suspect worked at a catering service at Brussels Airport.
