Starting on 1 May 2015 the German airline Germania will be flying from Berlin to the Balearic island of Ibiza. The service will be operated twice weekly, taking off on Mondays and Fridays from Berlin-Schönefeld towards the Mediterranean.
The third-largest Balearic island offers a wide choice of options for great vacations: the island’s long, sandy beaches are perfect for the classic beach holiday. With the old centre of Ibiza Town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the thick city walls dating back to the Renaissance, the island also has plenty to keep culture fans happy. Younger visitors enjoy Ibiza’s reputation as the ultimate party island with its numerous clubs and discos.
The airport Aerpuerto de Ibiza San José is one of the three international airports on the Balearic islands, and is located eight kilometres south-west of the island’s capital, Ibiza Town. A convenient half-hourly bus service takes travellers from the airport to the capital. There are also regular bus services to the airport from other regions of the island.
