Ambassador Trouveroy was among the delegation which officially opened the new VLM route Birmingham – Antwerp this morning at Birmingham Airport. The VLM Airlines flights between both cities will operate 3 times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
To celebrate the new direct link, a water arch salute was carried out on the aircraft’s first arrival and a jewellery-themed cake was provided. Both cities are their county’s second biggest and are active in the jewellery sector.
The Ambassador commented : “We are linking 2 number 2 cities in one 1st class act.”
