France – COP21 measures and access to Paris airports disrupted

  • During the Paris Climate Conference (COP21) , the French government has decided to implement border controls from November 13 to December 13, 2015.
    Access to Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly airports will be highly disrupted on Sunday 29 November and on Monday 30 November.For detailed information about the road traffic and transports in Paris area, you can visit the Paris Prefecture de Police website.

    For travellers, the Police Prefecture recommendations are:
    – Identify upstream alternative routes, some roads will be partially or totally closed
    – Choose public transit that will be free from Sunday, November 29, 12h00 to Monday November 30 at midnight.
  • Moreover, French authorities have reinforced identity controls and baggage inspections across all French territoryRegardless of your destination, you are required to carry identification documents during checking, boarding and security controls at border crossings.

    All Air France flights will be maintained. However, the additional identity controls may cause delays at airports.
    We recommend that you arrive at the airport early and with a valid identification document.
