Wizz Air opens 18th route from Eindhoven Airport: Timi?oara

Wizz Air announced today that by March 2016 it will start a new route between Eindhoven Airport and Traian Vuia International airport in the city of Timisoara in western Romania.

The route from Eindhoven to Timisoara will be operated 3 times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays by an extremely modern and silent Airbus A320 with 180 seats. Starting date of this route is March 29, 2016. Timisoara is already the 18th destination offered by Wizz Air from Eindhoven Airport and the second new destination of Wizz Air in March, next to Lublin in Poland.

Timi?oara, with its 310 000 inhabitants one of the larger cities in Romania. The city is also called “Little Vienna” by the presence of many beautiful and iconic buildings from the Baroque period and second half of the 19th century. Timi?oara is by no coincidence candidate city for European Capital of Culture in 2021. Economically, the city plays an important role for the automotive industry ; a number of major suppliers, for example BMW, Volkswagen and Audi are located in Timi?oara, but also Continental AG, a large tire factory, is located in the city.

Wizz Air flies from Eindhoven Airport to the following destinations in Central and Eastern Europe: Riga (Latvia), Vilnius (Lithuania), Gdansk, Katowice, Wroclaw, Poznan, Warsaw, Lublin (Poland), Brno (Czech Republic), Budapest, Debrecen (Hungary), Belgrade (Serbia), Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Skopje (Macedonia), Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara (Romania) and Sofia (Bulgaria).
