Dense fog this morning around Amsterdam Airport, at least 3 KLM Boeing 777 were forced to divert to Brussels Airport (http://www.luchtzak.be/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=60955). But a TUI Nederland Boeing 787 declared a may-day due to low fuel.
This morning the dreamliner (PH-TFK) from Miami to Amsterdam (flightnumber OR318) was holding above the North Sea, but was running out of fuel. According to a TUI spokeswoman a procedure has to be followed and thus a “may-day” was declared, air traffic controllers guided the plane to the airport and emergency services continued to guide the Boeing 787 to the gate. “The passengers didn’t notice anything”, the spokeswoman concluded.
