On 31 March 2016, Transavia welcomed its 10,000th customer in Munich, six days after the official launch of its new base. He was greeted at the boarding gate of flight HV9157 to Naples by Alexandre de Juniac, Chairman and CEO of Air France-KLM and Mattijs ten Brink, Managing Director & Chairman of Transavia Holland, who presented him with a voucher for a return flight to the destination of his choice on Transavia.

The Munich base operated its first flights over the Easter weekend. Two Boeing 737-800 serving nine destinations are based there. As from May 2016, two new aircraft will join the base and seven new destinations will be served from the Bavarian capital.

Transavia, Air France-KLM’s low-cost airline, is already very popular in France and the Netherlands. Launching a base in Munich, outside our domestic market, is the first step in Transavia’s growth in the rest of Europe“, said Alexandre de Juniac as he personally congratulated the teams in Munich for the successful launch.
