Low-cost airline Ryanair announced this Wednesday the opening of a new destination in Spain from Luxembourg. After Madrid, Barcelona will be served as a second destination in Spain.

London, Porto, Lisbon, Milan, Madrid … And now Barcelona, ??via El Prat airport (a dozen kilometres to the south-east): Ryanair’s catalogue from Findel is expanding more and more. A total of six routes are now available from Luxembourg, with 30 flights a week and over 450,000 passengers a year. The operator indicates that this represents 340 “on-site” jobs per year.

Ryanair thus shows its willingness to continue to link Luxembourg to the main centres of leisure and business through high-frequency and low-cost services, with call rates of less than 10 euros.

If the first flights to Madrid will be operated by the end of March, it will be necessary to wait until October to go to Barcelona from the Grand Duchy. This new route will have 4 flights a week.

In addition, the company announced 3 new winter services: to Lisbon (5 weekly flights), Madrid (4 weekly flights) and Milan Bergamo (4 flights a week). Additional flights will also be operated towards Porto, on the basis of 6 flights per week.
