Following the confirmation announced today by the Vatican of the pastoral visit of Pope Francis to Fatima on 12 and 13 May, TAP Portugal will have the honour of transporting His Holiness on his return to Rome.
This historic trip will be one of enormous prestige for TAP, the Portuguese airline that has already, over its more than 71 years of history serving Portugal, had the honour of transporting three other Popes on the occasion of their visits to our country – Pope Paul VI in 1967, Pope John Paul II on two trips in 1982 and 1991, and Pope Benedict XVI in 2010.
I heard that Alitalia does 1 leg and the homecarrier does the other!
