Strike by Lufthansa long-haul pilots from 3:00 to 23:59 CET on Thursday, December 4

The pilots’ union “Vereinigung Cockpit” has announced a strike across Germany for Lufthansa intercontinental flights departing between 03:00 CET and 23.59 CET on Thursday, December 4. During the strike period disruptions of Lufthansa long-haul flights are expected also at Frankfurt Airport. All Lufthansa short and medium-haul flights as well as flights operated by the Lufthansa Group airlines Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Germanwings, SWISS and Air Dolomiti (operated by OS, SN, 4U, LX, EN) will not be affected.

Passengers are advised to check the status of their flight prior to departure via the Internet at https://www.lufthansa.com and to take advantage of available rebooking options. Current flight information and a list of cancelled flights will also be available at www.lufthansa.com.
Flights of other airlines will operate as scheduled; we do not expect further operational disruptions.
