• Over 95 percent of all Lufthansa Group flights will take place tomorrow

• 137 flights will be cancelled on Saturday due to the strike action against long-haul flights

As the pilots’ union Vereinigung Cockpit has announced a continuation of their strike for Saturday, Lufthansa has put a special flight schedule into effect for tomorrow. On LH.com, passengers can verify whether their flight will be operating as scheduled. Tomorrow’s strikes will affect all long-haul flights operated by Lufthansa.

On Saturday, 26 November, 2,863 of approximately 3,000 scheduled Lufthansa Group flights will be operating as planned. Due to the extension of the strike, roughly 30,000 passengers will be affected by 137 flight cancellations tomorrow, including 88 intercontinental flights. There may also be a small number of cancellations on short- and medium-haul routes as a result of the previous days’ strikes. The four days of strikes have affected 345,000 passengers overall, with a total of 2,755 flight cancellations.

The Group airlines Eurowings, Germanwings, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Air Dolomiti and Brussels Airlines are not affected by the strike. The pilots of Lufthansa Cargo have also not been called on to strike. Flights to and from Germany that are operated by other Lufthansa Group airlines will be taking off as scheduled.

Customers whose flights have been cancelled due to the strike have the one-time option to transfer or cancel their booking free of charge. Passengers also have the one-time option to transfer their booking free of charge if they have a ticket for a flight with Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, SWISS and Brussels Airlines from, to or via Germany on one of the days affected by the strike. For routes within Germany, there is also the option to exchange flight tickets for Deutsche Bahn vouchers. On LH.com, passengers can find additional information under “Current Travel Information”.

Lufthansa asks that all customers take precaution of checking the status of their flight on LH.com before travelling to the airport. Lufthansa is also notifying all passengers that have provided contact information in their customer profiles of any cancellations by e-mail or SMS. The company has succeeded in contacting approximately 230,000 customers directly using these channels so far.
