Lufthansa proudly announced the birth of a baby boy on board an Airbus A340 between Bogota and Frankfurt. The aircraft registered D-AIFC diverted to Manchester airport.
Air traffic control was already aware of the (happy) situation and congratulated the captain during approach. After landing an ambulance approached the aircraft but shortly thereafter the A340 continued to Frankfurt airport.
