The airline challenges the People of Tomorrow to take the #BiggestInternationalSelfie
Thousands of party goers arrive at Brussels Airport tomorrow. Their destination: Tomorrowland. The world famous music festival unites 180,000 music fans of many different nationalities at De Schorre in Boom, Belgium.11,123 of them arrive on a Brussels Airlines party flight. This year the airline challenges everyone at the festival to gather as much nationalities as possible in the #BiggestInternationalSelfie.
Infamous for its large international audience, Tomorrowland brings people from all corners of the planet to Boom again this weekend. Nowhere at another Belgian festival, this many different nationalities come together, more than 200 in total. The Belgian airline challenges all festival goers to unite as many different nationalities as possible in one epic selfie, the #BiggestInternationalSelfie.
“Bringing People Together is the mission statement of Brussels Airlines. With this challenge we want people from different cultures and backgrounds to get together – with flags of their countries – and take a picture together,” says Christian Dumortier, Business and Partnership Development Manager of Brussels Airlines. To start them in the right direction, all possible translations of “Do you want to take a selfie with me?” can be found on www.brusselsairlines.com/selfie. To the one who succeeds to unite as many nationalities in one picture during the Tomorrowland weekend, Brussels Airlines offers the possibility to travel the world. “We are happy to be the official airline of Tomorrowland for the fourth consecutive year. The festival is the perfect example of Belgian know-how, something we wish to put forward as an ambassador of our country.”
Tomorrowland party flights
Brussels Airlines flies 11,123 Tomorrowland visitors to Belgium on 119 flights, departing from 64 airports. To get the party people in the right atmosphere right from the start of their journey, 10 airports organize a gate party, in Tomorrowland style, before the flight departure. 80 flights are transformed into party flights with music on board. On four flights, a DJ plays a live set at 30,000 feet. The party flights can be followed live on www.brusselsairlines.com/TMLpartyflight.
Many foreign festival goers, about 600, chose the “Discover Europe package”, including a ticket to four to five European cities, which they can visit before or after the festival. The destinations are Barcelona, Rome, Berlin, Paris, London and Amsterdam. The first Discover Europe guests arrived in Brussels on 17 July.
The most represented nationalities on the Tomorrowland flights are Switzerland (2014), United Kingdom (1235), Australia (1032), Spain (979), and Germany (732), but also Azerbaijan, Oman, Swaziland and Moldova are represented.

At the festival, Brussels Airlines will once again take everyone for a spin in the air with the Cloud Rider, a 55-metre tall Ferris wheel guaranteeing the best views over the festival premises and far beyond. Every Tomorrowland visitor is welcome to take a ride on the Cloud Rider for free.
