Israel Airports Authority (IAA) reported another 28% growth in travel by Brussels Airlines passengers on the double daily service between Brussels Airport and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport in the first half of 2017, as compared to the corresponding period last year. Thereby Brussels Airlines remains the fastest growing scheduled carrier active between Europe and the Holy Land.

During the same period IAA recorded some 139’000 passengers travelling between Tel Aviv and Brussels, reflecting a 29% increase. Overall international activity at Ben Gurion Airport grew by 18% between January and June 2017.

Brussels Airlines connects Belgium with Israel since 2003. From April 2015, the Belgian airline doubled its capacity: a daytime flight complemented the red-eye flight, providing good connections to and from New York JFK, Washington, Toronto and many destinations in France, Spain, Portugal, Scandinavia and the United Kingdom. The introduction of bizz&class and the three economy class options (flex&fast, light&relax and check&go) last year is the explanation for this success.
