In October 752,290 passengers flew Brussels Airlines to get to their destination. That’s 39,146 more compared to October last year or a growth of 5.5%.

In October, Brussels Airlines attracted a mix of business travelers and passengers making a city trip or taking a late summer holiday. With a passenger growth of 5.5%, Brussels Airlines further strengthens its market position.

The European network welcomed 3.2% more passengers, the African network 5.2%. The Trans-Atlantic routes attracted 28.4% more passengers. The large growth to North America is mainly due to new destination Toronto, that was launched in April.

The cargo activity also increased significantly. In total 3,255 tonnes of freight were transported, an increase of 28.1%.

In addition to its scheduled flight activity, Brussels Airlines operates many holiday and group flights for tour operators. Passenger figures for this activity are not included in the figures of this press release.
