This morning a Vueling Airbus A320 registered EC-MBS operating flight VY2151 from Brussels Airport to Malaga was forced to return to Brussels.

The aircraft circled above Chièvres to burn fuel before returning to Brussels. Eva Martinez – one of the passengers – tweeted that due to a technical failure the pilots were forced to return. She also comments that the passengers are waiting in the airport terminal but that nobody is there to assist them.

A Vueling spokesman told luchtzak.be that

Flight VY2151 came back to the terminal because the pilot detected a technical problem. Safety is our top priority and we decided to return to the terminal. We provide vouchers for all the passengers and the route will be operated with another plane.
