A suspicious white powder was found this afternoon on board an easyJet Airbus at London Gatwick Airport. Passengers were requested to evacuate the aircraft.
Fire engines and security personnel investigated the nature of the white powder found on board.
Just a few hours ago a Virgin Atlantic flight from Dubai to London Heathrow was evacuated after a bomb threat was called in. The incidents happen close after the harrowing terror attack which left 22 people dead at Manchester.
Around 14:00 UTC +1 the aircraft was cleared for take-off as the white powder was identified as baby milk powder.
