Delta Air Lines announced that in March 2017 it would resume the Atlanta-Brussels route that was discontinued in the wake of the Brussels terror attacks of 22 March 2016. Atlanta is the main hub of Delta. The flights will be operated on a daily basis.

Delta is celebrating the  25 years of continued presence at Brussels Airport. Its first flight between Brussels and New York JFK was operated on 1 November 1991. Since that date, Delta has carried 4.8 million passengers between Brussels and the USA.

The main destinations of the Delta customers from Brussels are New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Orlando. Except for New York, these destinations require a stopover in the US, either New York or Atlanta.
