Bombardier confirmed today that the first CS300 aircraft dedicated to passenger travel with Latvia’s airBaltic is now moving down the production line with the fuselage and wings ready to mate. As the CS300 aircraft’s first operator, airBaltic’s leadership team, which included Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, Martin Gauss, got a sneak-peak.

It was a thrill to watch our friends from airBaltic marvel at the development of their first CS300 aircraft in Mirabel recently,” said Robert Dewar, Vice President, C Series Program. “The aircraft is coming together nicely and we’re making solid progress on the CS300 aircraft program with over 75% of the certification activities completed.

Ranked amongst the best airlines in the world, airBaltic will be the first airline to operate the CS300 aircraft when it takes delivery in the second half of 2016. The CS300 aircraft will join airBaltic’s modern fleet of12 Bombardier Q400 aircraft in the second half of 2016. The airline has 13 firm CS300 on order that includes options for an additional seven CS300.
