It would have been a bold idea (see below), but Air France already serves 14 million meals on board its flights each year, including meals from Michelin-starred chefs in Business and La Première class (such as Anne-Sophie Pic, Régis Marcon, Guy Martin and Michel Roth). Make sure you visit the French pavilion at the Universal Exhibition in Milan from 26 June to 8 July 2015, with the theme of ‘Feeding the planet, Energy for life’.

April Fool's!

Air France, an ambassador of gastronomy and etiquette à la française, is moving into cuisine with the opening of a chain of restaurants called ‘France is in the air’. The first restaurant will open from July 2015 at Air France’s historic headquarters at Les Invalides in Paris. Further openings are planned from September in China, Brazil and the United States.

The menu will be made up of new culinary creations from Michelin-starred chefs using delicious seasonal French ingredients. These true architects of taste will base their masterpieces on two sources of inspiration: a permanent menu in the greatest of French tradition and a seasonal menu which changes each month to highlight a destination served by Air France. The first of these menus will spotlight specialities from all over the Lombardy region.

The simple décor will bear the new ‘France is in the air’ branding: aircraft seats, swings, the latest fashion, and more.

It will even be possible to pay for your Michelin-starred meal with your Flying Blue card!

See you soon on our aircraft and in our restaurants!
