This morning KLM was forced to cancel dozens of flights, website luchtvaartnieuws.nl reported. Due to the very strong winds at Schiphol airport we “proactively” cancelled these flights, KLM announced.

The cancelled flights only concern short-haul destinations where KLM flies to multiple times per day. Passengers will be rebooked on other flights, or they can choose for a refund.

This morning Eurocontrol announced moderate to high flight delays at London Heathrow, Amsterdam and Zurich airport due to strong winds.
