Last Wednesday a KLM Airbus A330-300 was forced to divert to Henri Coand? International Airport (OTP) in Bucharest (Romania) due to a technical problem on the left hand engine. The aircraft (PH-AKE) was operating between Kuwait City and Amsterdam Schiphol as flight KL446.
The Dutch airline sent a Boeing 747 (PH-BFY) to Bucharest to pick up the 298 passengers of flight KL446.
Romanian website Aeronews.ro tweeted that engine #1 is currently being replaced.
