The call for strike action by several French air traffic controllers’ unions is disrupting air traffic on Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 April 2015. The DGAC (French Civil Aviation Authority) has requested airlines to adapt their flight schedule to and from certain French airports.

• Air France expects to operate all its long-haul flights
• Air France expects to operate half of its medium-haul flights to and from Paris – Charles de Gaulle
• HOP! Air France expects to operate 25% of its flights to and from Paris-Orly and 40% to and from French provincial airports
• Commercial teams remain fully mobilized to inform and assist customers

The call for strike action by several French air traffic controllers’ unions is disrupting air traffic on Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 April 2015. The DGAC (French Civil Aviation Authority) has requested airlines to adapt their flight schedule to and from certain French airports.

On Thursday 9 April,

LONG-HAUL FLIGHTS

• Air France expects to operate all its long-haul flights to and from Paris.

SHORT AND MEDIUM-HAUL FLIGHTS

• Air France expects to operate half its medium-haul flights to and from Paris-Charles de Gaulle
• HOP ! Air France expects to operate 25% of its flights to and from Paris-Orly
• HOP ! Air France expects to operate approximately 40% of its flights to and from French provincial airports

For customers with connections to or from a long-haul flight, whose medium-haul flight is cancelled, Air France is doing all it can to offer rerouting solutions.

There may be long delays on all flights.

On the short-haul and medium-haul network, there may be last-minute delays and cancellations. The Company recommends customers to postpone their trip to after 10 April, at no extra cost.

Airport teams and commercial staff remain mobilized to inform customers and minimize the inconvenience this strike action may cause.

CONSULT FLIGHT INFORMATION

In case of a cancellation or delay, Air France offers the AF Connect service (also available for HOP ! flights) to directly inform customers on their mobile phone, smartphone or by email using their personal contact details provided to the airline. The free AF Connect service is available in 13 languages for all passengers worldwide.

In order to be personally notified by AF Connect, Air France and HOP !  invite customers to update their personal contact details (mobile phone and /or email address) in their reservation file on the airline’s websites. Air France will then be able to inform them personally by e-mail or SMS in case of a disruption to their flight.

In all cases, customers are recommended to check information on the flight schedule, updated in real time, before going to the airport:

• at www.airfrance.fr, in the “Flight schedules” section or at hop.com
• on the mobile.airfrance.com website or Air France iPhone, Android Windows Phone and Blackberry apps
• by SMS by texting your flight number to 63654 (example: AF6250).

POSTPONE YOUR TRIP

Air France offers its customers booked on short and medium-haul flights the possibility to postpone their flight at no extra cost. They can also choose to receive a voucher valid for one year on Air France, Hop! and KLM.
