Esther Fourez (27) is the winner of the Air Belgium uniform designer contest

Among more than 100 designers Ester Fourez (27) was chosen tonight to design the new Air Belgium uniform ; she also won the €10,000 prize money. Edouard Vermeulen (Natan) will assist Esther in the process.

Tonight new start-up Air Belgium – expecting to start flights between Belgium and Asia – has announced the winner of its “spread your wings” contest.

Among more than 100 entries Esther Fourez from Tournai was unanimously chosen by the jury (Edouard Vermeulen, founder of fashion house Natan; Elke Timmerman, fashion coordinator at MAD Brussels; Kurt Abeloos, head of cabin vrew & inflight product at Air Belgium; Niky Terzakis, CEO of Air Belgium; Pieterjan Van Biesen, commercial director at Natan) to design the Air Belgium uniform. She will be assisted by Belgian fashion designer Édouard Vermeulen, sponsor of the contest.

Esther Fourez is a bachelor in style and fashion from the Superior School Francisco Ferrer in Brussels.

The second prize (€1000) went to Elke Baert from Merelbeek and the third prize (€500) to Julie Allar from Schaerbeek.
